Testimonials and Case Studies
My name is Richard Lamberth and I started working in Insurance in the late 1980s working for a local insurance underwriting agency. D&PI was our chosen print supplier from a tender process that I initiated. I spotted an opportunity in the market for a specialist insurance scheme and left a secure job to start up AUL. D&PI was enlisted for my promotional printing because of their competitive design and printing capabilities. I grew the business to such an extent that I recently sold the business after reaching a turnover of £37m. One constant remains we entrust our printing and design requirements to D&PI.

D&PI first associated with Lloyds of London Press in the late 1980’s specifically hired to produce artwork/design and commercial printing. LLP aggressively expanded and re-named Informa and became a PLC. D&PI also moved with them during these changes and today is a preferred print supplier providing stationery and marketing materials to many of their divisions in London, Oxford and Colchester covering the Insurance, Healthcare and Shipping departments.
Alf Tarling print buyer at Informa says ‘Competitive pricing, quality and ability to keep abreast of latest technology ensures D&PI stays as an Informa preferential print supplier.’

Codair Design and Publicity are publishers of council maps throughout England and Scotland. D&PI were introduced in the early 1990’s to do jobbing printing on small offset machines. Some 3 years later as DPI invested in larger machinery we undertook the map printing. This contract still remains with us today producing B2 maps and all associated companies stationery etc. Studio Manager Alan Wheeler recognises DPI’s understanding of tight deadlines is very happy to keep this long standing arrangement for the foreseeable future.

In 1989 D&PI was contacted by the now CEO and Chairman of Spicerhaart to provide a printing service for a new Estate Agency Spicer McColl. We produced the first run of stationery, internal print, detail sheets and marketing collateral for their Colchester office, quickly followed by Cambridge and Norwich. The business grew to become the largest Independent Estate Agency in Europe. Today DPI service some 170 branches and departments throughout England, Wales and Scotland. Spicerhaart’s IT Director Steve Lamb oversees the operation to ensure smooth running of communications, ordering, printing and despatch of all printed goods and mailings.
